Black Dog – Preview Screening

Sunday, December 8 @ 3:45pm

Catch an early sneak peek at the acclaimed new Chinese dramedy that hits in all the right spots. Winner of the Un Certain Regard prize at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, this winningly absurd and beautifully poetic tale of one lost soul's unexpected connection to a stray black dog reminds us that the best of friends often has four legs. Taiwanese-born heartthrob Eddie Peng stars alongside a loveable whippet cross in this one-of-a-kind crowd-pleasing riff on crime thrillers, westerns, neo-noirs and canine comedies. Featuring breathtaking cinematography and critically lauded performances, blockbuster director Guan Hu’s foray into arthouse is a truly unique cinematic experience that demands to be seen on the biggest screen possible.
