JOY RIDE - RED CARPET PREVIEW

Rich Text

Four friends. One trip. No luck.

Be the first to see the outrageous new road trip comedy from the co-writer of Crazy Rich Asians at Dendy’s Red Carpet Preview screening of JOY RIDE on July 5 with a glass of sparkling on arrival. Starring Ashley Park, Sherry Cola, Sabrina Wu, and Academy Award nominee Stephanie Hsu, this hilarious and unapologetically explicit story of identity and self-discovery centres on four unlikely friends who embark on a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure.

When Audrey's (Park) business trip to Asia goes sideways, she enlists the aid of Lolo (Cola), her irreverent, childhood best friend who also happens to be a hot mess; Kat (Hsu), her college friend turned Chinese soap star; and Deadeye (Wu), Lolo's eccentric cousin. Their no-holds-barred, epic experience becomes a journey of bonding, friendship, belonging, and wild debauchery that reveals the universal truth of what it means to know and love who you are.

“A whole lot of fun.” – Hollywood Reporter

“Joy Ride is a hilarious, touching, and high energy girls trip across Asia.” – The Film Stage

“Easily the golden standard for progressive, raunchy comedy and the need for more diverse stories being told on screen.” – IndieWire

“An instant crowd-pleaser… Sometimes, you have to be really smart to be really stupid, and “Joy Ride” threads that needle with aplomb.” – The Playlist
